I started offering one-on-one tutoring while at Vassar College, where I attended a one-year program. During this time I was working on my bachelor's in political science, art history, and studio art from Sciences Po Paris. I was able to improve students' French writing and speaking and develop my own philosophy. When tutoring, I engage in dialog that goes beyond structure, helping to broaden the student's scope by exposing them to native visual art, culture, and politics. I use video clips and news articles to aid the learning process, while I have a highly flexible, adaptable teaching style to meet my students' needs and interests.Raised by a Franco-American family in France, I was always engaged in dialogue in the French and English languages and cultures. My cross-cultural identity enables me to interact with people from multiple origins. In my academic career, my Vassar College tutoring experience also included leading classes of 5-7 students in intermediate and advanced French. I also held drill sessions for beginners. I've also tutored elementary and middle school kids, supplementing their class studies or simply exposing them to French one-on-one.On the side, I still strive to learn about different cultures and immerse myself in art.
