Hello! My name is Michael! I'm a graduate of Marlboro High School and I'm a current student at Fordham University in New York City! At school I'm a double major in American History and Journalism with a special concentration in Power, Politics, and Institutions. That's a mouthful, but basically it means that I'm a wiz at American history and English. I've tutored in both of these subjects before and, as of Spring 2016, have even worked in the Education Department at the New-York Historical Society, doing research and helping run museum education programs. Learning has been, and hopefully will always be, an essential part of both my personal and professional life. Naturally, then, I love nothing more than helping others learn and love to learn. School is hard! I've done a lot of it, and sometimes a helping (and learned) hand is all you need to succeed when academics become a bit of a challenge! I'd love to help with that. Outside of my course of study and in terms of testing qualifications for English and History, during high school I received a score of 5 on both of the AP Literature and Composition and Language and Composition exams, as well as a perfect score of 36/36 on the ACT Reading section with scores of 34/36 on the writing and english sections. In History, I received a 5 on both the AP World and American History exams, as well as a 100% on the US History Regents. In addition to loving school and academics, I've been a pianist and a percussionist for over 12 years. Music will forever be an indispensable and permanent part of my life.
